What is Activated carbon? activated carbon is made by carbon of coconut shell, palm shell, coal. This carbon is subjected to high temperature steam insice a furnace, whuch drives out the volatiles, leaving chunks of almost pure carbon. Activated carbon has the attraction property that causes the impurrities found in water and air th adhere to it’s surface, and as such is used extensively for filtering and purification.
